🇲🇺 Mauritius (Africa)

Visiting: Highly RecommendedLGBT+ visiting: Highly Recommended

Yes, it's a honeymoon cliché. It's also just easy: calm lagoons on the east coast, proper hiking in the Black River Gorges, the UNESCO peak of Le Morne, and street food that mixes India, China, France and Africa on one plate. Mauritius is safe, relaxed and welcoming, and things have been getting steadily better for LGBT+ visitors since decriminalisation. Hard trip to get wrong.
